TRANSCEND News, 16 April 2012
by Antonio C. S. Rosa, TMS editor
This is a closed group for exchange of ideas/advocacy/information for Dr. S P Udayakumar, Convener of the TRANSCEND Network for South India.
Kumar is participating in Satyagraha/nonviolent protests with the People’s Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE) to stop construction of the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant in Tamil Nadu, South India.
We demand that the authorities free all jailed protesters, drop the spurious charges of treason, sedition and terrorism against the leaders, and lift the blockade of the villages surrounding the nuclear plant scheduled to be inaugurated in May 2012.
THIS IS URGENT!
