Information about TPU courses and registration: Conflict Care and Reconciliation Course Director: S.P. Udayakumar This course focuses on the preventive, curative and recuperative aspects of handling socioeconomic-political conflicts. As someone said, "peace comes not from the absence of conflicts in life but from the ability to cope with it." So conflict transformation has become a survival skill in our world today. Although conflicts are necessary and even important for life on the earth, destructive ones with incidence of violence are better prevented rather than dealt with later with all its ugliness. Understanding regress, foreseeing potential conflicts, conflict watch, human rights monitoring, early warning, and other such as concepts are discussed in detail. READ MORE... --- TPU courses are mainly designed for participants of graduate or post-graduate level, or people with equivalent experience. No formal proof of the degree is required. Participation requires the commitment to read and reflect upon the materials posted by the course directors, to participate actively in group discussions and assignments and to respect the reading and responding time frames.
