Conflict Care and Reconciliation

This course focuses on the preventive, curative and recuperative aspects of handling socioeconomic-political conflicts. As someone said, "peace comes not from the absence of conflicts in life but from the ability to cope with it." So conflict transformation has become a survival skill in our world today. Although conflicts are necessary and even important for life on the earth, destructive ones with incidence of violence are better prevented rather than dealt with later with all its ugliness. TPU courses are mainly designed for participants of graduate or post-graduate level, or people with equivalent experience. No formal proof of the degree is required.
Participation requires the commitment to read and reflect upon the materials posted by the course directors, to participate actively in group discussions and assignments and to respect the reading and responding time frames. According to general estimations, in order to benefit satisfactorily from the course, participants will need to devote not less than 8 hours a week.

If you are applying for more than one course, or in group, please write to us so you can get a personalized PayPal link with the discount.
TPU will appreciate if residents of non-OECD countries can pay the full fee. This will contribute to a scholarships fund. If residents of OECD countries find it difficult to pay the full fee, they can apply for a reduction. TPU also accepts payment in installments when it is absolutely needed by the participant. Once the fee is received, the participant will get the enrollment key to access the course web-site. Also, TPU will send to the participant at the mailing address indicated the book published at TRANSCEND University Press "50 Years - 100 Peace and Conflict Perspectives" by Johan Galtung.
On the course web-site participants will update their profile, in order to get better acquainted with the rest of the group and access some of the reading materials before the course starts. Participants are also welcome to start discussions on the course forum and meet in chat, share their expectations about the course and what would they like to achieve.
