27 Aug 2023 – A lot has happened since the coup, which affects Niger and how we understand its relation to that country, to the Sahel region, to Africa generally, and to the U.S. rivalry with Russia and China in the foreground. I have taken ‘liberties’ with my answers to address this awareness of the broader context.
