{"id":100378,"date":"2017-10-23T12:02:13","date_gmt":"2017-10-23T11:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/?p=100378"},"modified":"2017-10-23T00:37:59","modified_gmt":"2017-10-22T23:37:59","slug":"how-may-we-fray","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/2017\/10\/how-may-we-fray\/","title":{"rendered":"How May We Fray"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><em>24 Oct 2017 \u2013 In celebration of Johan Galtung\u2019s birthday that happens to be also the author\u2019s.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>spinning even at the halt: loops,<br \/>\nlong aimless stretches sometimes taut:<br \/>\ncraft in turning kinks to knots<\/p>\n<p>they became our resting places<br \/>\nthe way a cluster of rocks along a path<br \/>\nmight lend formality and art to wandering<\/p>\n<p>fingers link or lace,<br \/>\nsmall motion soft \u2013 why<br \/>\nwe do neglect, forget<br \/>\ncomes home to heart<\/p>\n<p>it\u2019s all invisible<br \/>\nwhatever height we choose,<br \/>\nthe woof and warp,<br \/>\nthe prayer<\/p>\n<p>left to right we read<br \/>\neach other, front to back<br \/>\nat the museums, the cafes,<br \/>\nthe corridors<\/p>\n<p>but on the road<br \/>\nare pauses, rhymes,<br \/>\ncathedral hues<br \/>\nand always near \u2013<\/p>\n<p>that\u2019s what I meant:<br \/>\nwatch how the mists leap and twirl,<br \/>\nthe strands of water fly and bend<br \/>\nto beat or brighten us<\/p>\n<p>how may we fray<br \/>\n______________________________________________<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/emanuel-Garcia-e1499591161992.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-95249\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/emanuel-Garcia-e1499591161992.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"151\" \/><\/a><em>Dr. Emanuel E.
