{"id":106628,"date":"2018-02-19T12:00:04","date_gmt":"2018-02-19T12:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/?p=106628"},"modified":"2018-02-13T16:07:04","modified_gmt":"2018-02-13T16:07:04","slug":"lets-speak-peace-a-plea-to-all-language-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/2018\/02\/lets-speak-peace-a-plea-to-all-language-users\/","title":{"rendered":"Let\u2019s Speak PEACE: A Plea to All Language Users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let\u00b4s speak PEACE wherever we may be<br \/>\nby teaching\u00a0 one another peacefully the world to see<\/p>\n<p>Let\u00b4s speak PEACE\u00a0whenever we interact<br \/>\nby teaching one another to dignify every communicative act<\/p>\n<p>Is it the language of languages\u00a0we want to teach?<br \/>\nLet\u00b4s make SPEAKING PEACE the goal to reach<\/p>\n<p>Let\u00b4s speak PEACE as the global language of serenity<br \/>\nby expressing ourselves\u00a0 through discourses\u00a0 of amity<\/p>\n<p>When speaking PEACE, to one another let\u00b4s say:<br \/>\n&#8220;Wish you and your family a peaceful\u00a0day today&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When speaking PEACE, in our religions for\/of spirituality let\u00b4s pray:<br \/>\n&#8220;May sustainable peace in our homes\/schools\/workplaces\/government offices\u00a0stay&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When will all of Humankind learn to speak Peace?<br \/>\nWhen all forms of aggressive\/violent language use will cease<\/p>\n<p>Speaking PEACE will profoundly transform how\u00a0multilingually to\u00a0communicate<br \/>\nby showing how &#8220;LOVING ONE\u00b4S\u00a0 LINGUISTIC NEIGHBOR&#8221; wisely to cultivate<br \/>\n_________________________________________<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/francisco-gomes-de-matos.jpeg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-84401\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/francisco-gomes-de-matos.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"64\" height=\"64\" \/><\/a><em>Francisco Gomes de Matos, Ph.D. is an applied peace linguist from Recife, Brazil. He has degrees in Languages, Law, and Linguistics. He is Professor Emeritus at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco where he is active in the Dom H\u00e9lder Camara Human Rights Commission. He is one of the pioneers in Linguistic Rights (author of 1984 <\/em>Plea for a Universal Declaration of Linguistic Rights)<em> and in the emerging area of Peace Linguistics.
