12 Sep 2018 – <\/em>From early 1942 until late 1944, transport trains delivered Jews<\/a> and others to the camp\u2019s gas chambers<\/a> from all over German-occupied Europe<\/a>, where they were killed en masse with the cyanide<\/a>-based poison Zyklon B<\/a>, originally developed to be used as a pesticide<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An estimated 1.3 million people were sent to the camp, of whom at least 1.1\u00a0million died\u2026 Many of those not killed in the gas chambers died of starvation, forced labor, infectious diseases, individual executions, and medical experiments<\/a>. https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Auschwitz_concentration_camp<\/a><\/p>\n
