Truth From An Unexpected Source<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Why of course the people don’t want war.\u00a0 Why should some poor slob on the farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?\u00a0 Naturally the common people don’t want war: nether in Russia, nor England, nor for that matter in Germany.\u00a0 That is understood.\u00a0 But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.\u00a0 Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.\u00a0 That is easy.\u00a0 All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.\u00a0 It works the same in any country.” <\/em>— Herman Goering, Adolph Hitler\u2019s Deputy<\/p>\n

Sometimes truth comes from unexpected sources.\u00a0 The above quote is one such example — how propaganda is used to manipulate public opinion and get ordinary, decent, people to support the criminal policies of their government.<\/p>\n

Don’t be like the “good” Germans in Nazi Germany.\u00a0 Don’t be dragged along by today’s propaganda. \u201cIslamic Terrorism\u201d <\/strong>and \u201cTerrorism\u201d<\/strong> have replaced “Communism”<\/strong> as the West\u2019s modern enemy of choice.\u00a0 The so-called war on terror is really an endless war by the U.S. empire for control of oil, other countries\u2019 natural resources, and control of international finance and markets–all by military means<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Stand up! Speak Out for Peace & Justice!<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Mourn all victims of violence.<\/p>\n

2. Reject war as a solution.<\/p>\n

3. Defend civil liberties.<\/p>\n

4. Oppose all discrimination, anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, etc.<\/p>\n

5. Seek peace through justice in Hawai`i and around the world.<\/p>\n
