19 Feb 2019 – According to Russian media, yet to be confirmed, \u201cA\u00a0False Flag is Brewing\u201d under the Cloak of the so-called \u201cHumanitarian Convoy for Venezuela\u201d (TASS)<\/em><\/p>\n

The alleged false flag operation is intended to justify \u201can outside invasion\u201d of\u00a0Venezuela by one or more foreign powers. The false flag is slated to result in the deaths of civilians.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

According to Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova<\/strong>\u00a0at a press conference last week:\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cA provocation, involving victims, is being put together under the guise of a humanitarian convoy,\u201d<\/strong> Zakharova stressed. \u201cThey need it just as a pretext to use outside force, and everyone should understand that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe possibility of a military intervention is just a red line for all of Latin America and the entire global community in general, which considers itself to be civilized,\u201d she emphasized.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe it is imperative to refrain from steps or statements that could trigger an escalation of tensions in Venezuela, in particular, from any appeals to Venezuela\u2019s armed forces fraught with their involvement in a domestic civil standoff,\u201d Zakharova went on to say. \u201cWe keep repeating that the international community\u2019s task is to promote mutual understanding between various political forces in Venezuela.\u201d (quoted by TASS)<\/p>\n

According to Sputnik<\/a>, the above Russian Foreign Ministry statement was made following direct contacts between the \u201cUS and \u00a0members of Venezuela\u2019s army, urging them to pledge allegiance to opposition leader Juan Guaido. \u2026 The Russian Foreign Ministry has warned of\u00a0an increasing number of\u00a0signs that a military coup in\u00a0Venezuela is becoming the \u201cWest\u2019s priority\u201d.<\/p>\n
