General Assembly,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recalling<\/strong> the Charter of the United Nations, and reaffirming its commitment to the purposes and principles 0fthe Charter,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognizing<\/strong> the need to promote and strengthen multilateralism and reaf\ufb01rming the central role of the United Nations in that regard,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bearing<\/strong> <strong>in mind<\/strong> that the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations in 2020 is an opportunity to reaf\ufb01rm its collective commitment to multilateralism and t0 the United Nations,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decides<\/strong> that the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations Will be commemorated in 2020 under the theme \u201cThe Future We Want, the UN We Need: Reaffirming Our Collective Commitment to Multilateralism\u201d,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also decides<\/strong> that the theme of the seventy-fifth anniversary shall guide all activities, meetings, and conferences organized by the United Nations in 2020, including the general debate of the seventy-fifth session of the General Assembly, and encourages all Member States and observers of the General Assembly to share their views on the theme,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Further decides<\/strong> to convene in New York, on 21 September 2020, a high-level meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the seventy\u2014\ufb01\ufb01th anniversary of the United Nations, with the participation of Heads of State and Government, and that the following modalities will apply:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">a) The meeting will begin at 9.00 am. and conclude before 9.00 pm on 21 September 2020;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">b) The President of the General Assembly will make an opening statement, and invite the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council, the President of the Economic and Social Council, the President of the International Court of Justice and youth representatives to make statements;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">c) Following opening statements, the meeting will hear statements from the host country, Member States and observers of the General Assembly on the basis of<br \/>\na list of speakers to be established in accordance with the rules of procedure and established a practice of the General Assembly, and the time limits for statements will be three minutes for statements of individual delegations and \ufb01ve minutes for statements made on behalf of a group of states;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">d) The meeting will be a stand-alone event, and no other inter-governments meetings or side events will be organized in parallel at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 21 September 2020;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">e) Non-governmental organizations that are in consultative Status With the Economic and Social Council are invited to register with the Secretariat to attend the meeting;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decides<\/strong> to adopt by consensus at the high-level meeting on 21 September 2020 a concise, substantive, forward-looking and unifying declaration that captures Member States\u2019 collective commitment to multilateralism and to the United Nations and their shared vision for a common future and requests- the President of the seventy-fourth session of the General Assembly to appoint two co-facilitators to lead and conclude inter-governmental negotiations on the declaration no later than June 2020,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also decides<\/strong> to commemorate, on 26 June 2020 the signing of the Charter of the United Nations, and on 24 October 2020 the United Nations Day, through meaningful observance ceremonies at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. open to Member States and observers of the General Assembly, as well as non-governmental organizations that are in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, and request\/s the President of the seventy-fourth session of the General Assembly to determine the modalities of these ceremonies, taking into account the views of the Member States and relevant stakeholders, including civil society and youth,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emphasizes<\/strong> the need to engage civil society and youth in all activities to commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations, and decide? to convene a Youth Plenary at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, under the auspices of the President of the seventy-fourth session of the General Assembly and the President of the Economic and Social Council, in conjunction with the ECOSOC Youth Forum in 2020,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Invites<\/strong> the Youth Plenary to engage in an inclusive, forward-looking. youth-driven global dialogue on the theme of the seventy\u2014\ufb01fth anniversary and to send representatives to address the high-level meeting on 21 September 2020,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Encourages<\/strong> the Member States and observers of the General Assembly, organizations of the United Nations system, as well as civil society organizations, individuals and other relevant stakeholders, to Observe and actively support the commemoration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations in an appropriate manner, including through national and regional initiatives, with a view to raising awareness of the work of the United Nations and of the importance of multilateralism in addressing global challenges,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Welcomes<\/strong> the decision of the Secretary-General to appoint a focal point in the Executive Of\ufb01ce of the Secretary-General to coordinate all activities within the UN system relating to the commemoration of the seventy-fifth anniversary, ensuring a coherent and inclusive approach, and a global communications and outreach strategy,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requests<\/strong> the UN Department of Global Communications to disseminate statements made by heads of delegation, at the high-level meeting on 21 September 2020 as well as the general debate on the theme of the seventy-fifth anniversary, to a global audience using information technology in order to raise awareness of the commemoration and the role of the United Nations, and<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requests<\/strong> the Secretary-General to make arrangements to receive voluntary contributions to support the commemoration of the seventy-\ufb01fth anniversary of the United Nations, and encourages the Member States, and other donors in a position to do so, to make \ufb01nancial contributions generously and as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p><em>_____________________________________________<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><a What is world federalism? A government system where states\/provinces are subordinate to a central governing body. A centralized global government system where nations would play a subordinate role under a world government, where all officials would be elected to their positions. In this new global government, local problems would be allowed to be solved locally,\u00a0national problems solved nationally, and global problems solved globally.<\/em> <em>Our world federation will be\u00a0built on the principles of <strong>democracy, republicism, secularism, and federalism<\/strong>.
