Manning was arrested in May 2010 and<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/news.antiwar.com\/2011\/10\/30\/2011\/03\/06\/naked-abuse-of-bradley-manning-sparks-growing-criticism\/\" > has been held<\/a> under <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/news.antiwar.com\/2011\/10\/30\/2011\/04\/29\/army-bradley-manning-fit-to-stand-trial\/\" >extremely controversial circumstances <\/a>pending a military trial <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/news.antiwar.com\/2011\/10\/30\/2011\/03\/02\/manning-faces-22-new-charges-over-leaks\/\" >over allegations that he<\/a> mishandled classified documents, which he is believed to have given to WikiLeaks.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing will be the first time any actual evidence is presented against Manning, with most public releases about him<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/original.antiwar.com\/justin\/2010\/07\/06\/bradley-manning-american-patriot-and-hero\/\" > centering around his alleged \u201coutsider\u201d status<\/a> during his time in the military.
