{"id":158907,"date":"2020-04-27T12:01:33","date_gmt":"2020-04-27T11:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/?p=158907"},"modified":"2020-04-22T07:50:56","modified_gmt":"2020-04-22T06:50:56","slug":"i-think-i-shall-never-see-earth-day-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/2020\/04\/i-think-i-shall-never-see-earth-day-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"I Think I Shall Never See&#8230; (Earth Day Poem)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I Think I shall never see<br \/>\nA creation as lovely as a tree<br \/>\nAs it dances in the wind,<br \/>\nMoving back and forth in glee<\/p>\n<p>I think I shall never see<br \/>\nA freedom as an untamed river<br \/>\nDon\u2019t underestimate its power<br \/>\nYou don\u2019t want to drown and shiver<\/p>\n<p>I think I shall never see<br \/>\nA skyscraper as mighty as a mountain<br \/>\nThose buildings may crumble into dust,<br \/>\nBut Mother Earth\u2019s creations never go in vain<\/p>\n<p>I think I shall never see<br \/>\nA dish sweeter than a mango<br \/>\nBut if chemicals take over, where will its nectar go?<\/p>\n<p>I think I shall never see<br \/>\nA home as nurturing as the forest<br \/>\nDestroying them for grabbing land and toilet paper,<br \/>\nIs it really for the best?<\/p>\n<p>I think I shall never see<br \/>\nA sage as serene as clouds,<br \/>\nI admire the rain drops<br \/>\nAs they fall down, charmed and astound.<\/p>\n<p>I think I shall never see<br \/>\nThoughts as deep as the ocean, where everything is pure,<br \/>\nIn this salty potion.<\/p>\n<p>I think I shall never see<br \/>\nA lady as beautiful as the Earth<br \/>\nShe is the Mother of all,<br \/>\nHer kindness has no dearth.<\/p>\n<p>I think: I rather want to see!<br \/>\nA human race, not so selfish<br \/>\nWho treats the Earth like its own,<\/p>\n<p>With pride and gratitude.<br \/>\n_______________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Adwik Roshan is the 15-year-old grandson of TRANSCEND Member Dr. Ravi P.
