12 Jun 2020 – <\/em>On April 11, 2020, the former Technical Director of the NSA, William Binney, and Pulitzer-prize winning Chris Hedges were discussing on RT America TV the abuses committed by U.S. intelligence agencies since the \u201960s, when suddenly the link between mass surveillance and covert electromagnetic torture of innocent civilians was uncovered \u2013 a shocking first on American television.<\/p>\n

HEDGES: \u201cWe\u2019ve raised it [mass surveillance] to a whole new level now\u201d.<\/p>\n

BINNEY: \u201cIt\u2019s the same three agencies [NSA, FBI, CIA] today doing the same thing on a much larger, more comprehensive scale\u201d.<\/p>\n

HEDGES: \u201cSo this intelligence becomes actionable in terms of carrying out dirty tricks\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

BINNEY: \u201cYes, yes, it gives you leverage, at which point you know everybody, what they\u2019re doing, what they\u2019re thinking, what they\u2019re planning\u2026. I mean, you have the opportunity to manipulate them in any way you want by causing certain things to occur, making certain suggestions in certain areas or simply outright blackmail against them\u2026 or against somebody they really care about. So you have an opportunity to do all of that. [\u2026]. Also, it gives them the opportunity to do any kind of things, like using existing kinds of weapons<\/strong>, like the Cubans did in our embassy [in 2016-2017], or the Russians did with microwaves<\/strong> in our embassy in Moscow [in the \u201960s]. They can do the same thing here with other people and we have some people complaining that\u2019s in fact what is happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

HEDGES: \u201cExplain the microwave, how it works.\u201d<\/p>\n

BINNEY, touching his cheek: \u201cWell, what it will do, certain microwave frequencies coming at you will burn your skin and actually burn it down to a certain depth\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

HEDGES: \u201cAnd it goes through walls\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

BINNEY: \u201cYes, yes, it can go through walls.<\/strong> But they also have other kinds of laser<\/strong>-type things that can be even more intense<\/strong>\u2026 And they can use infrared to find out where you are while you are inside your building.\u201d<\/p>\n
