The USA has requested his extradition for violating espionage laws. Today\u2019s decision ensures he will not be extradited.<\/p>\n<p>Snowden\u2019s lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena, today announced the decision of the Russian government to grant him an open-ended residence permit.
