\nStephen-King nightmare in the brain!
\nMortar rounds at synapses!
\nInvader of our personal stash!
\nSweetSweet as Delilah\u2019s lips!<\/p>\n

Cooing with the voice of Mom\u2014
\nBubela, Bambino, <\/em>come home, come home
\nTo peaches and cream and castles of fructose,
\nTo sugared hot cocoa and honeycombed words
\nIn hives of endearments buzzing on eardrums;
\nTo plaudits and gambits and all sweet beginnings;<\/p>\n

To endings and outcomes wrapped in thin wafers
\nThat crackle and clang buds on the tongue\u2014
\nThen soothe\u2026 and admonish
\nAll dissonant voices: No trespassing!
\nOnly sweetness\u2014no light!\u2014
\nDown labyrinthine portals\u2026<\/p>\n

Words like agave flowing down sewers
\nWhere \u201cliberty\u201d trudged, with \u201cfreedom\u201d and \u201cheroes,\u201d
\nTo ransack and pillage dreams of the village.
\nTenderest mercies are syrup for wounds.
\nSweet lies to die for\u2026 Sweet lies to kill for\u2026
\nSweet God\u2026 Sweet Jesus\u2026 Kali is calling\u2026<\/p>\n
