Before I knew it, midnight had passed.&#8221; <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The wife shouted,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Rubbish! Just admit you were again at a party meeting!&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>_______________________________________________<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/dieter-dietrich-fischer-epu.png\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-68323\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/dieter-dietrich-fischer-epu-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/em><em>Dietrich Fischer (1941-2015) from M\u00fcnsingen, Switzerland, got a Licentiate in Mathematics from the University of Bern 1968 and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from New York University 1976. Fischer was a MacArthur Fellow in International Peace and Security at Princeton University 1986-88, has taught mathematics, computer science, economics and peace studies at various universities, and been a consultant to the United Nations.
