9 Jan 2021 – <\/em>The world needs a less dangerous, non life-threatening, security system and a new, open and realistic thinking about the foul and failed militarized world disorder that we all live under. Nobel saw this in 1895 when he tasked a Norwegian committee with awarding his \u201cprize for the champions of peace\u201d. Its purpose is to promote an alternative solution, peace by global demilitarization.<\/p>\n

We urge all who have the right to nominate to propose candidates who will promote the demilitarization of international relations that Nobel wished his prize to serve. The deadline is always: Jan. 31.<\/p>\n

The right is limited to members of parliaments or cabinet ministers around the world, professors in certain disciplines, heads of peace institutes etc. but these are all allowed to enter multiple nominations. The address is: Norwegian Nobel Committee <postmaster@nobel.no>. Use of the nomination form on nobel.no<\/em> is optional. If you have a good proposal but not the right to nominate you should find someone who have. Nobel Peace Prize Watch may be able to help, but we need more people with nomination rights. Please volunteer.<\/p>\n

The committee appreciates short and concise nominations and we would recommend sending an email that opens roughly as follows: To promote Nobel’s idea of \u200b\u200ba peaceful world order, above all through global cooperation on disarmament, international law and strong international institutions, I hereby nominate (name, country, main reason), 50 words. Then further arguments and documentation of merits, each of a maximum length of 200 words.<\/p>\n
