Abracadabraism<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I used to wonder whether Trump actually believed his own lies, calculated at over 30,000. He seems so convinced of their truth when effectively persuading his base. People constantly call Trump a liar. I think he was doing something different from lying. I call it Abracadabraism\u2122, a phenomenon I diagnosed years before January 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbracadabra,\u201d the magicians\u2019 incantation, is derived from Aramaic and\/or Hebrew. \u201cAbra\u201d means \u201cI will create.\u201d \u201cC\u2019dabra\u201d means \u201cas I speak,\u201d as in \u201cGod said, \u2018Let there be light! And there was light.\u2019\u201d (Genesis 1:3). I think Trump endeavors to create reality with his words.<\/p>\n

This diagnosis clicked for me when Billy Bush, who exposed Trump\u2019s Access Hollywood tape vulgarities, accused Trump of inflating his ratings. Bush claimed that Trump said,[i]<\/a> \u201cPeople will just believe you. You just tell them and they believe you<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n
