Compulsory Total Disparagement<\/strong><\/p>\n

5 Mar 2021 –<\/em> Moral outrage and mutual disparagement have devolved into a national sport. Tweets and opinion pieces make valid points criticizing CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference for remaining a party of Trump, being a dangerous, fascistic, racist, white supremacist, golden calf-worshipping cult, using Nazi symbolism on their Odal Rune shaped stage, etc. I don\u2019t entirely disagree.<\/p>\n

It is easy to judge, denigrate, express<\/span> disgust, righteous indignation, and fear. We criticize how terrible they are while they whine about how terrible we are \u2014 woke, unpatriotic socialists turning into communists who criticize America, who cancel everyone we don\u2019t like, and want to take away their freedoms. Each says the other is destroying our democracy. We are caricatures.<\/p>\n

Switching between Fox and MSNBC one hears automatic, mindless, 100% rejection of the other\u2019s every detail, even if it\u2019s true or in our interest. So do congress members. Fox does it more, but MSNBC and Dems do their share. And Fox gets a few things right.<\/p>\n
