This is because vaccine passport advocates, such as the ID2020 consortium founded by Bill Gates and the Rockefeller Foundation, openly state that \u2018vaccine passports\u2019 may be used as a platform <a href=\"https:\/\/swprs.org\/the-vaccine-passport-agenda\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for a global biometric ID<\/a>, allowing unprecedented population control and monitoring, modeled after China.<\/p>\n<p>The push for \u2018vaccine passports\u2019 continues despite the fact that covid vaccines are experimental vaccines that have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2021\/02\/23\/federal-law-prohibits-employers-and-others-from-requiring-vaccination-with-a-covid-19-vaccine-distributed-under-an-eua\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not yet been approved<\/a> anywhere. In fact, some countries have already stopped the use of some of the vaccines: for instance, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health stopped the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fhi.no\/en\/news\/2021\/astrazeneca-vaccine-removed-from-coronavirus-immunisation-programme-in-norw\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stating that<\/a> \u201c<span data-contrast=\"auto\">the risk of dying after vaccination with the A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">straZeneca<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> vaccine would be higher than the risk of dying from the disease, particularly for younger people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a careful analysis in MedPage Today, US medical professor Vinay Prasad argues that \u2018vaccine passports\u2019 are, from a medical and social perspective, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medpagetoday.com\/blogs\/vinay-prasad\/92107\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018a bad idea\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Some recent developments in the field of \u2018vaccine passports\u2019<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>In June, <strong>the Swiss<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/corona-transition.org\/gefahrliche-verscharfungen-am-covid-19-gesetz-in-der-fruhlingssession\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">will vote on the \u201ccovid law\u201d<\/a> enacted under \u2019emergency conditions\u2019 by their government, which would form the legal basis for both \u2018contract tracing\u2019 and \u2018vaccine passports\u2019. Opponents call it \u2018the most dangerous law Switzerland has ever seen\u2019, while the government tries to bribe or pressure the population into accepting it by including emergency payments to businesses in the same law.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In the US<\/strong>, several states have <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/birb_k\/status\/1381278909191180289\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">already prohibited<\/a> \u2018vaccine passports\u2019. In contrast, some other US states have introduced \u2018vaccine passport\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/new-york-launches-first-digital-covid-19-vaccine-passport\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018pilot projects\u2019<\/a>, and some universities will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/carlieporterfield\/2021\/04\/19\/yale-is-the-latest-university-to-require-students-to-get-a-coronavirus-vaccine\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">require vaccinations<\/a> for all students, despite the fact that covid vaccines have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2021\/02\/23\/federal-law-prohibits-employers-and-others-from-requiring-vaccination-with-a-covid-19-vaccine-distributed-under-an-eua\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not yet been approved\/licensed<\/a> by the FDA and several students <a href=\"https:\/\/thecovidblog.com\/2021\/04\/14\/john-francis-foley-21-year-old-university-of-cincinnati-student-dead-24-hours-after-johnson-johnson-shot\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have already died<\/a> after vaccination. The US federal government stated that it will leave \u2018vaccine passports\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/biden-vaccine-passports-private-sector\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018to the private sector\u2019<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>European Union<\/strong> is pushing towards an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etiasvisa.com\/etias-news\/digital-green-pass\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU-wide \u2018Green Pass\u2019<\/a>, something it has planned for behind the scenes <a href=\"https:\/\/off-guardian.org\/2020\/05\/22\/report-eu-planning-vaccination-passport-since-2018\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">already since 2018<\/a>. The EU Commission claimed that if the EU doesn\u2019t introduce \u2018vaccine passports\u2019, Google and Apple <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-02-25\/eu-told-to-back-vaccine-passports-or-google-will-do-them-anyway\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">might do it<\/a> (as they already inserted the \u2018contact tracing\u2019 interface into 3 billion mobile phones). On the other hand, an open petition with already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openpetition.eu\/petition\/online\/stop-the-vaccination-certificate-in-the-eu\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">close to 300,000 signatures<\/a> demands a stop to vaccination certificates in the EU.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In the UK<\/strong>, \u2018vaccine passports\u2019 are also<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/gma\/vaccine-passports-being-trialed-uk-090424474.html\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u2018being trialed\u2019<\/a> by the government, whereas UK church leaders <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-gb\/news\/uknews\/uk-church-leaders-warn-against-e2-80-98dangerous-e2-80-99-vaccine-passport-plans\/ar-BB1fKGqG\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">warned that<\/a> \u2018vaccine passports\u2019 are \u201cone of the most dangerous policy proposals ever to be made in the history of British politics\u201d with the \u201cpotential to bring about the end of liberal democracy as we know it\u201d.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The WHO<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/healthcare-pharmaceuticals\/who-panel-against-requiring-vaccination-proof-travel-statement-2021-04-19\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> argued against<\/a> the introduction of \u2018vaccine passports\u2019, at least for the time being, noting that they would create global inequality and that the effectiveness of vaccines against transmission remains unclear. Indeed, several thousand cases of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/health\/health-news\/cdc-about-5-800-breakthrough-infections-reported-fully-vaccinated-people-n1264186\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018breakthrough infections\u2019<\/a> have already been reported in \u2018fully vaccinated\u2019 people.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Israel<\/strong> was the first country to implement a digital \u201cGreen Pass\u201d scheme. Opponents call it <a href=\"https:\/\/swprs.org\/israel-why-is-all-cause-mortality-increasing\/#the-situation-in-israel\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018a nightmare\u2019<\/a>, and even supporters concede that it is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spectator.co.uk\/article\/in-israel-vaccine-passports-are-already-redundant\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018redundant\u2019<\/a> as most people have already been vaccinated anyway.<\/li>\n<li><strong>India<\/strong> is also issuing digital \u2018vaccination certificates\u2019. A government official <a href=\"https:\/\/theprint.in\/health\/modi-govt-now-plans-a-touchless-vaccination-process-with-aadhaar-based-facial-recognition\/634719\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">predicted that<\/a> \u201cthese certificates may soon be required for people to travel internationally. Also, these certificates may be used to enter buildings domestically.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>South Korea<\/strong> announced the introduction of a \u201cblockchain-protected digital vaccine passport\u201d.
