In this highly inflammatory situation, there can be an escalation to the conflict at any point. Violence can lead to ever greater violence and can spread to other areas, an indication of which is the recent violence in the city of Lod.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The Association of World Citizens calls upon all parties to refrain from provocative action. As World Citizen and psychologist Bruno Bettelheim wrote,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><em> \u201cViolence is the behavior of someone incapable of imagining other solutions to the problems at hand.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Therefore, the Association of World Citizens calls for creative thinking for new approaches to cooperative and harmonious living together of Israelis and Palestinians.<\/p>\n<p><em>______________________________________<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/rene-wadlow-e1552144709416.jpeg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-129140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/rene-wadlow-e1552144709416.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"76\" \/><\/a><\/em><em>Ren\u00e9 Wadlow is a member of the <\/em><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/\" >TRANSCEND Network for Peace Development Environment<\/a><\/em><em>.
