Israel: Highest coronavirus infection rate in the world (OWD)<\/p><\/div>\n

Israel has been a global pioneer in covid mass vaccinations as well as in introducing the highly controversial \u201cvaccine passport\u201d (Green Pass). Nevertheless, since late August 2021, Israel has been reporting the highest coronavirus infection rate in the entire world (see chart above).<\/p>\n

The Israeli case clearly shows that neither covid vaccine mandates nor \u201cvaccine passports\u201d are suitable means to limit or end the pandemic. This is because covid vaccines are unable to reduce coronavirus infections<\/a> and transmission, and they lose much of their effectiveness even against severe disease within a few months<\/a>, a medical fact already known from influenza vaccines.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that even in Israel, covid vaccines continue to provide some limited protection (up to 50%<\/a>) against hospitalization and severe disease. Nevertheless, double-vaccinated Israeli citizens will again be counted as \u2018unvaccinated\u2019 and will require a third dose<\/a>. It may well be, however, that \u201cbooster shots\u201d have further increased<\/a> recent coronavirus infections (\u201cpost-vaccination spike\u201d).<\/p>\n

On the positive side, Israeli data confirms that natural immunity,<\/strong> acquired through previous infection, is much stronger and long-lasting \u2013 providing a protection up to 27 times higher<\/a> than vaccination \u2013 thus opening up a realistic perspective to end the pandemic. Depending on the country, between 5% and 75%<\/a> of the population have already acquired natural immunity.<\/p>\n

In addition, Israel was the first country to confirm the rather troubling safety profile<\/strong> of covid vaccines, reporting a \u201cmurky wave of heart attacks\u201d and an increase in all-cause mortality<\/a> \u2013 even in young people \u2013 already back in March and April 2021. By now, serious and fatal cardiovascular and neurological covid vaccine adverse events have been well documented (see updated overview<\/a>). Globally, covid vaccines may already have killed or severely injured<\/a> more than 100,000 people.<\/p>\n

Given the obvious failure of \u201cvaccine passports\u201d, several countries have already had to withdraw them. In Spain<\/strong>, the highest court stopped their use<\/a>, calling them \u201cineffective and unconstitutional\u201d; in Denmark<\/strong>, the government was pressured to discontinue them<\/a>; in Switzerland<\/strong>, people will have a binding vote<\/a> in November; in some US states<\/strong>, they have already been outlawed<\/a>; in Sweden<\/strong>, covid mortality has remained below the European average<\/a> without any major restrictions, anyway.<\/p>\n

In contrast, governments in places like France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, and some US states (e.g. New York) have not yet abandoned their \u201cvaccine passport\u201d schemes, requiring them<\/a> for cultural events, restaurants, public transport or even shopping<\/a>. In Pakistan, people without a \u201cvaccine certificate\u201d can no longer use motorways<\/a> or even cellphones<\/a>. In some of these places, citizens have responded with mass civil disobedience<\/a> to \u201cvaccine passports\u201d and other restrictions.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the WHO<\/strong> has recently published a document<\/a>, sponsored by the Gates Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation, detailing technical specifications for the global implementation of \u201cvaccine certificates\u201d. Critics have long argued that \u201cvaccine certificates\u201d may well be a first step towards the introduction of a global digital biometric ID system<\/a> that may later be expanded into a dystopian Chinese-style \u201csocial credit\u201d control system (watch an NBC News video<\/a> about this).<\/p>\n

But as the Israeli example shows, \u201cvaccine passports\u201d have already lost their justification.<\/p>\n
