Though made respectable and legitimate as the crucial state actor by the ousted NLD leader Aung San Suu Kyi and by external actors bent on doing business in Myanmar,\u00a0 the country\u2019s military known as the Tatmadaw (or feudal or royal armed forces) has long morphed into a terrorist criminal syndicate.
