9 Dec 2021 – <\/em>On the latest episode of Russell Brand\u2019s \u201cUnder the Skin\u201d podcast, Indian scholar, environmental activist and food sovereignty<\/a> advocate, Vandana Shiva, explained how the economic plan known as the Great Reset is a \u201cproject of extermination.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Shiva previously told The Defender<\/a>, the Great Reset \u2014 or the readjustment of the global economy on behalf of the most powerful companies and institutions \u2014 is about \u201cmaintaining and empowering a corporate extraction machine and the private ownership of life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The World Economic Forum (WEF), a think tank representing business interests from around the world, devised The Great Reset. According to WEF founder and executive chairman, Klaus Schwab, the forum is guided by the goal<\/a> of positioning \u201cprivate corporations as the trustees of society\u201d to \u201caddress social and environmental challenges.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Brand asked Shiva what the end goal of the Great Reset is and what people like Bill Gates<\/a> are pursuing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the project is a project of extermination,\u201d<\/em> Shiva said, who believes the project is powered by hubris and greed.<\/p>\n

She said extreme hubris leads individuals like Bill Gates, or corporations like seed giant Syngenta<\/a>, to believe they can be in total control of a life system \u2014 and \u201cno matter the mess they create they\u2019ll always be able to fix and profit from it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Shiva claimed greed also plays an integral role in this project of extermination because it leads these corporations and individuals to take away people\u2019s life support or land and without considering the consequences.<\/p>\n

Destroying people\u2019s life support systems\u00a0 \u201cis an ecocidal and genocidal instinct,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Shiva told Brand:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are creating conditions for most of humanity to not meet their basic needs, and creating a condition in which they can\u2019t exercise their fundamental right to clean air, food, water, freedom, education or mobility \u2026 it\u2019s an idea of dispensability equal to the idea of extermination.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She said, \u201cThis is not just happening, it is being made to happen through deliberate action.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
