Inspired by the Russell-Sartre Tribunals of the late 1960s, which put the US government on trial for its war crimes in Vietnam, the Belmarsh Tribunal exposes the crimes of the so-called War on Terror 20 years after the first prisoners were brought to Guant\u00e1namo Bay \u2014 and calls for Assange\u2019s freedom.<\/p>\n

The event \u2014 convened in partnership with DiEM25, <\/em>the Courage Foundation, The People\u2019s Forum, DSA International Committee, The Intercept, People\u2019s Dispatch <\/em>and the International People\u2019s Assembly<\/em> \u2014 will be chaired by philosopher Sre\u0107ko Horvat and civil rights attorney Margaret Kunstler.<\/p>\n
