29 Sep 2022 – <\/em>People from the Danish Defence Academy, other military experts \u2013 e.g. those of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation \u2013 most major Danish media and \u2013 of course \u2013 the Ukrainian President\u2019s advisor uniformly point \u2013 to Russia as the saboteur of the Nordstream gas pipelines near Bornholm, the Danish island south of Sweden.<\/p>\n

The Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen and Defence Minister B\u00f8dskov, however, are a little lower than usual on Russia, pointing out how important \u2013 and difficult \u2013 it is to get clarity on this kind of thing so far down on the ocean bed.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s UPI\u2019s take on the EU<\/a>: \u201cSept. 28 (UPI) \u2013 The European Union on Wednesday said breaches in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 natural gas pipelines happened because of a \u201cdeliberate act\u201d but stopped short of blaming Russia for the leaks.\u201d<\/p>\n

How interesting they stopped short. For once.<\/p>\n

This is, of course, a political water-cycle ride into the blue deep sea.<\/p>\n

Surely, Russia has a tap \u2013 the kind you know you have on your kitchen sink \u2013 with which to stop the gas. Why take the big risk with such a difficult and profound espionage attack? And if it was a signal to Denmark, why do it in international waters?<\/p>\n

As usual, the Danish media seem unfamiliar with web search engines. And if they do, it must be that they are not reporting everything they have seen and are thus engaging in a rather narrow public education \u2013 leaving out what they believe that the citizens, for political reasons, do not need to know.<\/p>\n

You can search for yourself \u2013 don\u2019t use Google because that\u2019s part of US foreign policy \u2013 but e.g. DuckDuckGo \u2013 with the words \u201cBiden on no Nordstream 2\u201d and there are tons of references to Biden and his famous promise<\/a> at a press conference with German chancellor Schilz that \u201cwe\u2019ll bring an end to it\u201d \u2013 Nordstream 2 \u2013 if Russia invades Ukraine.<\/p>\n

That was February 7 of this year \u2013 3 weeks before Putin\u2019s international law-breaking invasion in response to the provocation Russia perceives NATO\u2019s 30-year systematic build-up of Ukraine as a future NATO country to be.<\/p>\n
