\nshambling from crater to crater on tree stump legs
\nwailing whale songs and praying to unprofitable gods,
\nplanting them in the ashes whispering
\n\u201cMay there be kindness,
\nmay there be seeing,
\nmay there be artist lovers who are each other\u2019s muse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dancing a doomed dance,
\na dance of holy futility,
\nthe dance of madmen,
\nthe dance of heretics,
\nthe dance of censored saints,
\nof banished buddhas,
\nsinging a song of hopeless hope,
\nirrational hope,
\nunscientific hope,
\nthe hope of lovers and lunatics,
\na lunatic\u2019s song sung to the moon.<\/p>\n

Dance with us, gentle stranger,
\nthrough this world of Disney deforestation and unexplored abysses
\nwith unauthorized choreography and wondermented eyes.
\nLet us hold the line against the empire of Earth eaters
\nfor no other reason than that we\u2019re the only ones left
\nwho are crazy enough to try.<\/p>\n

There may be a hatching yet, gentle stranger.
\nHumanity is not broken
\nanymore than an egg
\nis a broken bird.<\/p>\n
