Gen. Mark Hertling has said, private television channel NTV yesterday [26 Oct 2012].<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are not sure if these shells are from the Syrian army, from rebels who want to get <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/tag\/Turkey\" >Turkey<\/a> involved in the issue or from the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/tag\/PKK\" >PKK<\/a> [Kurdish Workers\u2019 Party],&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Neither <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/tag\/NATO\" >NATO<\/a> nor U.S. troops want to get involved in the increasingly complex Syrian issue, Hertling said, adding that they were presently only sharing intelligence with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/tag\/Turkey\" >Turkey<\/a> and observing the ongoing events in Syria.<\/p>\n<p>A shell from Syria killed five Turkish civilians in the border town of Ak\u00e7akale in the southeastern province of \u015eanl\u0131urfa on Oct. 3.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/origin-of-syrian-shells-into-turkey-unclear-us-general-says.aspx?pageID=238&amp;nid=33386&amp;NewsCatID=359\" >Go to Original \u2013 hurrietdailynews.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;We are not sure if these shells are from the Syrian army, from rebels who want to get Turkey involved in the issue or from the PKK [Kurdish Workers\u2019 Party],&#8221; U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Lt.
