Well you know kids these days they\u2019re so entitled\u2028.
\nThey\u2019ll quit a job just because they don\u2019t like it\u2028,
\nor because it doesn\u2019t pay enough\u2028,
\nor because they\u2019re not grateful for the privilege
\nof turning a gear \u2028for a silver dollar and an attaboy sammy.<\/p>\n

And you know kids these days they\u2019re scary and strange,
\nbecause what are they doing on them smart phones anyhow\u2028?<\/p>\n

And how do we keep track of what they\u2019re getting up to
\nwhen we can\u2019t see it through our front windows \u2028from between the gaps in the blinds?<\/p>\n

And how are we supposed to mind them
\nwhen we don\u2019t understand their jokes or their references,
\nor why they\u2019re being so nice to freaks?<\/p>\n

How can we teach them to hate their bodies
\nwhen they insist that all bodies are beautiful?<\/p>\n

And how can we teach them to fight like a man
\nor submit like a woman
\nwhen they insist that they are neither?<\/p>\n

And how can we teach them what to think about things
\nwhen they\u2019d rather watch other kids create content
\nthan listen to the pundits we put on TV?<\/p>\n

And how can we teach them to kill for our country
\nwhen they\u2019re so gentle and sensitive
\nand care about other people\u2019s feelings?<\/p>\n

And how can we force our system on other countries
\nwhen they keep whining to foreigners online about how bad it is at home?<\/p>\n

And how is capitalism supposed to work
\nwhen they have no shame in being poor\u2028,
\nand just blame the system when they can\u2019t afford a home
\ninstead of hating themselves?<\/p>\n

And how is industry supposed to thrive
\nwhen they keep babbling nonsense about saving the environment;
\ndo they have any idea how bad that would be for the economy?<\/p>\n

And how can we train them how to run this world
\nwhen they keep waving us away whenever we try
\nand telling us we\u2019re the ones who created this mess in the first place?<\/p>\n

And you know kids these days,
\nkids these days,
\nbuddy lemme tell you the trouble with kids these days
\nis they don\u2019t know how to goddamn listen.
\nWe try to teach them what\u2019s been working for us,
\nand they just say \u201cIt hasn\u2019t<\/em> been working though.
\nStop trying to save us.
\nWe\u2019ll save you.\u201d<\/p>\n

And, I mean, what the hell is that?
\n\u201cWe\u2019ll save you?\u201d
\nSave us from what?
\nAnd how?
\nDang little brats you don\u2019t even know how to use a cassette player.<\/p>\n
