Since 2021 she has been assisting young Afghans to resettle in safer havens. She co-coordinates the <a href=\"BanKillerDrones.org\">BanKillerDrones.org<\/a> campaign, is board president of World BEYOND War, and is planning the 2023 <em>Merchants of Death War Crimes Tribunal<\/em>. With <em>Voices in the Wilderness<\/em> companions, she helped organize 70 delegations to deliver medical relief supplies to Iraq from 1996 \u00a0to 2003, openly violating the sanctions and steadily developing friendships with families in Baghdad, Basra, and other Iraqi cities.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Face 2 Face with Kathy Kelly\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u8ll6K_tI-U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Kathy Kelly is a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/\" >TRANSCEND Network for Peace Development Environment<\/a>,<\/em><em> an American peace activist, pacifist and author, one of the founding members of <\/em>Voices in the Wilderness<em>, and currently a co-coordinator <\/em>Voices for Creative Nonviolence<em>. <\/em><em>Three times since 2000, she has been nominated for the <\/em>Nobel Peace Prize.<em> As part of peace teamwork in several countries, she has traveled to Iraq twenty-six times, notably remaining in combat zones during the early days of both US-Iraq wars. Her recent travel has focused on Afghanistan and Gaza, along with domestic protests against U.S. drone policy. She has been arrested more than sixty times at home and abroad, and written of her experiences among targets of U.S. military bombardment and inmates of U.S. prisons.
