Some people are led to be skeptical of the Al Jazeera news network.<\/b>\u00a0However, the\u00a0network<\/a>\u00a0has won several Emmys, a Peabody and the Overseas Press Association\u2019s Edward R. Murrow award,\u00a0among many other honors<\/a>. The New York Times reports that \u201cits reporting hews to international journalistic standards and provides a unique view on events in the Middle East.\u201d it\u2019s important to remember that all news sources may potentially have bias. For example,\u00a0CNN uses anchors<\/strong>\u00a0who used to\u00a0work for the Israel Lobby<\/a>, who have\u00a0lifelong attachment<\/a>\u00a0to Israel, and who often exhibit pro-Israel spin and omission in their broadcasts. Similarly,\u00a0Fox News is strongly influenced<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0Rupert Murdoch<\/a>, who has a similarly strong\u00a0attachment to Israel<\/a>, and who may have fired Tucker Carlson, the network\u2019s most popular host, in part due to the host\u2019s opposition to war and his pattern of failing to exhibit\u00a0sufficient devotion<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0Israel<\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n

Latest statistics:<\/h4>\n

Palestinian death toll: 11,741*<\/strong> (~11,529\u00a0in Gaza**<\/a>\u00a0(including at least\u00a04,707 children<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a03,155 women<\/a>), and at least\u00a0212<\/a>\u00a0in the West Bank).\u00a0*<\/strong>IAK does not yet include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile is being disputed; although much<\/i>\u00a0evidence<\/i><\/a>\u00a0points to\u00a0<\/i>Israel<\/i><\/a>\u00a0as the\u00a0<\/i>culprit<\/i><\/a>, experts are still<\/i>\u00a0looking<\/i><\/a>\u00a0into the\u00a0<\/i>incident<\/i><\/a>.\u00a0Israel is blocking an international investigation.<\/em><\/p>\n

Israel has now killed more Palestinians in a little over a month<\/strong>\u00a0than in all the previous\u00a022 years combined<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reported Israeli death toll has been reduced to\u00a0~1,200***<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(The Israeli spokesman\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0the original figure of deaths on March 7 was an \u201cinitial estimate\u201d \u2013\u00a03 killed in\u00a0West Bank<\/a>, 56 in\u00a0Gaza<\/a>), including\u00a032<\/a>\u00a0Americans, and\u00a0~5,400 injured<\/a>). Humanitarian aid update<\/strong>: No humanitarian supplies were confirmed<\/a> to have entered Gaza on 17 November, as of 18:00, for the third consecutive day. This is due to UNRWA\u2019s inability to receive and distribute additional loads, because of its lack of fuel, compounded by the shutdown of telecommunications.<\/p>\n

Since 21 October, 1,139 trucks carrying food, water and medical supplies have entered Gaza. Prior to the start of hostilities, an average of 500 truckloads entered Gaza every working day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fuel for Gaza \u2013 to protect Israelis<\/strong>: The war cabinet will allow the entry of\u00a0two fuel trucks per day<\/a> into southern Gaza in response to a US request. The decision was intended to \u201cminimally support water, sewage and sanitation systems, in order to prevent the outbreak of epidemics that could spread in the entire area, harm both the residents of the Strip and our forces, and spread even into Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n

A US State Department official said<\/a> an additional 20,000 litres (5,300 gallons) every two days would be allowed in to power generators of telecom company Paltel. (06:35 GMT)<\/p>\n

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said the move was leading Israel \u201cto a wrong policy,\u201d adding \u201cthere is no sense in giving the enemy humanitarian gifts,\u201d until all captives were released. (06:30 GMT)<\/p>\n
