Equally unwavering is our sacred commitment to continue to defend our country and defend our people,\u201d Netanyahu said in a televised address after the world\u2019s top court ordered Israel to \u201ctake all measures within its power\u201d to prevent acts of genocide in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>Netanyahu said Israel has an \u201cinherent right to defend itself,\u201d adding that the \u201cvile attempt to deny Israel this fundamental right is blatant discrimination against the Jewish state, and it was justly rejected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that the accusation of genocide moved against Israel is \u201cfalse\u201d and \u201coutrageous,\u201d and reiterated that \u201cIsrael will continue to defend itself against Hamas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe very claim that Israel is carrying out genocide against Palestinians is not only false, it\u2019s outrageous, and the willingness of the court to deliberate it at all is a mark of disgrace that will not be erased for generations,\u201d the premier also said in a statement in Hebrew, soon after the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Israeli newspaper The Times of Israel, he vowed to keep fighting \u201cuntil total victory, until we defeat Hamas, return all the captives and ensure that Gaza will not again be a threat to Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.defenddemocracy.press\/false-outrageous-antisemitic-icj-ruling-infuriates-israeli-officials\/\" >TO READ FULL TEXT Go to Original &#8211; defenddemocracy.press<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>26 Jan 2024 &#8211; \u201cIsrael\u2019s commitment to international law is unwavering.
