Raytheon racketeers and Pentagon pimps
\nswollen fat from the blood of unnamed victims
\nglossed over in headlines by The New York Times
\nwhile National Guard troops patrol the New York subways
\nand babies with legs like toothpicks fill our screens.
\nPouring arms into Israel
\nwhile humanitarian-LARPing aid airdrops.
\nWaving around armageddon weapons
\nwhile accusing peacemongers of treason.
\nWell sure I\u2019d ask for seconds mister president sir,
\nbut see I don\u2019t need guns
\nI need fire extinguishers.<\/p>\n

I need someone to put some fat back on those babies.
\nI need someone to get the plastic out of the oceans.
\nI need the bombs to stop and the siege to lift
\nand a healthy planet for the kids to play in.
\nI need kids to stop getting their limbs blown off
\nso they can run and play in that healthy world.
\nCan you drone strike me a thriving biosphere?
\nCan you ICBM those Gazans some food?
\nCan you extinguish this fire with your weapons and wars?
\nNo?
\nThen get outta the way man.
\nWe don\u2019t need guns
\nwe need fire extinguishers.<\/p>\n

\nAnd then the cops showed up with their guns and their bullets,

\nand our rage still burns,
\nand they promise us the burning will stop
\nif we just add in a few more guns.<\/p>\n
