24 Mar 2024 –<\/em> I’ve been asked to be the editor of a special edition of the Italian-based (Centre for Peace at the Univ. of Pisa) journal Scienza e Pace\/Science and Peace.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Although I knew Johan and co-edited the Handbook of Peace and Conflict Studies<\/em> with him, I’m sure some of you knew and worked with\u00a0him as well.<\/p>\n

Therefore, I’m wondering if one of you, TRANSCEND Members, would consider being the co-editor with me of this special edition of that journal!<\/strong> There is no pay, but there might be “eternal glory” in keeping Johan’s name and work alive.<\/p>\n

Also, I’m issuing a CALL FOR PAPERS <\/strong>for articles of 10-20 pages in English that focus on:<\/p>\n

  1. Galtung’s Life<\/li>\n
  2. Galtung’s Theoretical Contributions<\/li>\n
  3. Galtung’s Practical Contributions<\/li>\n
  4. Galtung’s Legacy<\/li>\n
  5. Further Developments in Peace and Conflict Studies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All submissions will be carefully considered, but, of course, there is no guarantee of acceptance. Please submit an indication of interest and\/or an outline or draft of the possible article as soon as possible to:<\/p>\n
