\nThe cat sees the girl,
\nher wounds still warm.
\nHungrier.
\nThe girl\u2019s father lies next to her
\non his back. The backpack he wears
\nstill has the girl\u2019s favorite candy
\nand a small toy.
\nThe girl was waiting
\ntill they arrived
\nto eat her lollipop.
\nThe cat gets close
\nto try the flesh;
\na bomb pounds the street.
\nNo flesh, no girl,
\nno father, no cat.
\nNobody is hungry.
\nThe moon overhead
\nis not the moon.<\/p>\n
