Yes, even now in the 21st century, many nations continue to grapple with frequent bloodshed. The reasons for such conflicts are complex, encompassing things like economic interests, cultural differences, historical disputes, political challenges, and more. (These countries are <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/247wallst.com\/special-report\/2023\/09\/30\/countries-most-worried-about-world-war-iii\/?tpid=1428396&amp;tv=link&amp;tc=in_content\" >worried about World War III<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Conventional wisdom would suggest that democracies are less warlike than authoritarian regimes. But is this actually true? <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1177\/1354066195001004003\" >Research studies<\/a> indicate that countries of both ideologies engage in roughly the same number of wars.
