President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen addressed elites at the World Economic Forum in Davos on 16 Jan 2024 calling for overarching globalist control over the flow of all information in the digital age.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cThe top concern for the next two years is not conflict, or climate, it is disinformation and misinformation,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>von der Leyen proclaimed, adding \u201cThe boundary between online and offline is getting thinner and thinner, and this is even more important in the era of generative AI.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing the elite as \u201cExcellencies,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and personally naming \u201cdear\u201d Klaus Schwabb in her introduction, von der Leyen further called for the development of \u201ca new global framework for AI risks,\u201d and a vow to \u201cdrive global collaboration\u201d to prevent the spread of \u2018misinformation\u2019 (information they don\u2019t want you to know about).<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cMany of the solutions lie not only in countries working together but, crucially, on businesses and governments, businesses and democracies working together,\u201d adding that \u201cWhile governments hold many of the levers to deal with the great challenges of our time, business have [sic] the innovation, the technology, the talents to deliver the solutions we need to fight threats like climate change or industrial-scale disinformation.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Furthermore, von der Leyen said 2024 is \u201cthe biggest electoral year in history\u201d,\u00a0and expressed concern that \u201cfreedom comes with risks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will always be those who try to exploit our openness, both from inside and out. There will always be attempts to put us off track. For example, with disinformation and misinformation,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

She also touted the EU Digital Services Act, which under the guise of preventing \u2018hate speech\u2019, establishes controls over all information on social media platforms.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith our Digital Services Act, we defined the responsibility of large internet platforms on the content they promote and propagate,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> von der Leyen bragged.<\/p>\n

She concluded \u201cthere is no doubt that we face the greatest risk to the global order in the post-war era. But in my mind, there is also no doubt that we can move forward with optimism and resolve.\u201d<\/p>\n

There can be no doubt that the number one target of these unelected technocrats is Elon Musk and X, given that they already have every other major platform in their pockets.<\/p>\n

At last year\u2019s WEF confab, V\u011bra Jourov\u00e1, who holds the incredibly Orwellian title of The European Commission\u2019s Vice-President for Values and Transparency, commented that \u00a0Musk\u2019s \u201cfreedom of speech absolutism,\u201d doesn\u2019t jive with new EU online regulations.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur message was clear: we have rules which have to be complied with, otherwise there will be sanctions,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Jourov\u00e1 declared, adding \u201cThe time of the Wild West is over,\u201d and further having the gall to declare \u201cwe are the protectors of freedom of speech as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
