It is one of the most popular grassroots movements that has emerged in Pakistan&#8217;s history. In a nutshell, its demands are for the:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Immediate release of Imran Khan and the abrogation of the politically motivated cases against him.<\/li>\n<li>Immediate release from prison of the tens of thousands of activists associated with the Movement for Justice.<\/li>\n<li>Recognition of the results of the Election held in February 2024 which saw Imran&#8217;s Movement for Justice win most seats in Parliament.<\/li>\n<li>Immediate institution of a process that allows Imran&#8217;s Movement to take its rightful place as the governing body in Pakistan<\/li>\n<li>The end of interference from the military in the political life of the nation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In addition to the above demands, foreign countries should also stop interfering in Pakistan&#8217;s affairs and respect the legitimate aspirations of the Pakistani people.<\/p>\n<p><em>_____________________________________________<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Chandra-Muzaffar-e1521637520187.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-107426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Chandra-Muzaffar-e1521637520187.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"105\" \/><\/a> Dr. Chandra Muzaffar is a member of the <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transcend.org\/tpu\/\" ><em>TRANSCEND Network for Peace, Development and Environment<\/em><\/a><em>, and president of the International Movement for a Just World (JUST).
