\nThe Syrian Democratic Party General Assembly<\/p>\n

First, we would like to welcome the members of the international committee for the support of reconciliation and solidarity in the Capital of Aumawyyn, the city of jasmine, wishing them a comfortable stay, so that they can work on revealing the facts and incidents and the scope of injury that our great nation has undergone throughout the period of the Syrian crisis that turned on its third year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Syrian Democratic Party is one of the national parties of the opposition. It’s on the Syrian political field since the beginning of the current century, aiming at sharing the political life through recuperation of the concept of citizenship and making it the basic and only concept for the love of the country. We struggled during the past for achieving a modem law for parties, a law for election and the liberty of the public opinions, and finally we could make it true.<\/p>\n

The Syrian Democratic Party is one of the social bearers of the political activity in Syria for establishing a democratic and multi-political system that constitutes for a civil democratic state ruled on basis of justice and equality among all citizens without all kinds of discrimination, because Syria is the homeland of all its sons and nobody should be discriminated. Opinion should be for service of the man not the fire that bums it.<\/p>\n

The last crisis came as an expression about a public congestion and refusal of marginalizing and elimination of a big part of the Syrian society, which finally led to the creation of corruption, demoralization, absence of the other opinion and the domination of a totalitarian mentality.<\/p>\n

Herein, we have to admit the internal factors of the crisis and the foreign intervention for using it and affecting the stand of the Syrian people. What we greatly fear of is the transformation of the Syrian crisis from a political crisis into a social crisis, so that the gap between the people gets bigger and sliding the people into a civil war, entailing a foreign intervention and internationalization of the crisis under the pretext of terrorism to implement foreign agendas.<\/p>\n

Our party condemns all kinds of violence and the use of arm wherever it came from. We ask all parties of the Syrian crisis to have the highest grades of self-control, especially the government, and remind the all that there is no solution without a serious and active dialogue between all the elements of the crisis to find a way-out and avoiding sliding into a civil war. Violence shall be faced by violence and power is in the mind.<\/p>\n

We again welcome you in your second country “Syria” which extends its hand \u00a0to every honest man seeking goodness for its people and protection of the national sovereignty of Syria, country of love and peace.<\/p>\n
