Dear TRANSCEND members, regional conveners, friends, greetings.<\/em><\/p>\n

Usually our general meeting occurs every two years. However, this year marks the twentieth anniversary of\u00a0TRANSCEND International and we decided to\u00a0get together for our TRANSCEND General Assembly one year earlier.<\/p>\n

The Venue that will host us will be the Galtung-Institut for Peace Theory and Peace Practice in Grenzach-Wyhlen, Germany, 5 minutes by train from Basel-Switzerland.<\/p>\n

The event is scheduled from August 16th (Fri) to August 18th (Sun) 2013.<\/p>\n

We will open at 16.00 on Friday and close on Sunday at 19.00. You are all cordially invited to attend!<\/p>\n

It is hoped that several members will share progress reports, ideas and plans for future projects.<\/p>\n

To develop the best possible agenda, we kindly ask you to send us your suggestions and to let us know which of the topics scheduled for Friday you would like to contribute.<\/p>\n

Your participation, input and advice are vital for the success of our assembly and you are welcome to attend and take part in the proceedings. We will be very thankful for your valuable presence.<\/p>\n

Since we are seeking financial assistance from local authorities to help cover some of the costs related to the event, including some travel stipends for participants, we would very much appreciate a declaration of your intent to participate along with your suggestions no later than 31st May\u00a0 2013.<\/p>\n

The following week we are planning a week-long series of events and\/ or performances to celebrate Peace Practice, to which you are cordially invited. You will find more information in a separated email.<\/p>\n
