Officially it does so on June 1. EU nations agreed to end what never existed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Since Washington\u2019s war on Syria began in early 2011, arms flowed freely. Western-enlisted death squads get them. At issue is replacing Assad with a subservient pro-Western puppet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Syria\u2019s being ravaged in the process. Washington, key NATO partners, Israel and rogue Arab state allies bear full responsibility.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">War rages ahead of Geneva II. Planned peace talks are pretense. Syrians genuinely want it. So does Russia going all out to achieve it. Other nations urge peace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">America prioritizes conflict and instability. It does so for unchallenged dominance. Peaceful conflict resolution is illusory. Previous efforts fell short. Expect Geneva II to fare no better.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Permanent war is official US policy. The business of America is war. Obama\u2019s waging multiple direct and proxy ones. He\u2019s got more death and destruction in mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">CIA and Britain\u2019s MI 5 operatives, as well as Western special forces actively aid so-called \u201crebels.\u201d They\u2019ve been doing so throughout most of the conflict.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On February 8, 2012, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.infowars.com\/report-british-special-forces-aiding-rebels-in-syria\/\"  target=\"_blank\">Infowars<\/a> headlined \u201cBritish Special Forces Enter Syria to Aid Rebels,\u201d saying:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">They\u2019re \u201cdirecting rebel fighters in a repeat of how Libyan rebels were aided\u201d to oust Gaddafi. Qatari special forces are also involved. Very likely others are.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cAl-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists who fought US troops in Iraq and helped NATO powers overthrow (Gaddafi) were airlifted into Syria (to) topple (Assad) in November last year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">More come in regularly. They supplement existing ranks or replace elements Syria\u2019s military eliminated. No end of conflict looms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Appalling atrocities are committed. Assad\u2019s wrongfully blamed for foreign death squad crimes. He\u2019s falsely accused of using chemical weapons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On May 28, <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/syria-fighting-rages-amid-reports-chemical-attacks-105151844.html\"  target=\"_blank\">Reuters<\/a> headlined \u201cSyria fighting rages, more chemical attacks reported,\u201d saying:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201c(F)urther reports surfaced of chemical weapons attacks by (Assad\u2019s) forces on rebel areas.\u201d These allegations and previous ones are spurious.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On May 24, <a href=\"http:\/\/english.ruvr.ru\/news\/2013_05_24\/Russian-journalists-have-proof-Syrian-insurgents-used-chemical-weapons-089\/\"  target=\"_blank\">Voice of Russia<\/a> headlined \u201cRussian journalists have proof Syrian insurgents used chemical weapons,\u201d saying:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">They have video proof. They gave it to the UN Secretariat. They show \u201cchemical weapons attacks allegedly committed by opposition fighters in the vicinity of Aleppo on March 19.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThis was confirmed by the spokesman for the Deputy Secretary General Farhan Haq.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">RTR journalist Anastasia Popova confirmed toxic substances use. Eyewitness accounts supplemented video evidence. Nonetheless, spurious anti-Assad accusations persist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On May 27, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/apps\/news\/story.asp?NewsID=45005&amp;Cr=Syria&amp;Cr1=#.UaSSc6UaXuR\"  target=\"_blank\">UN News Centre <\/a>headlined \u201cUN rights chief urges end to \u2018intolerable\u2019 suffering in Syria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Navi Pillay addressed the 23rd Human Rights Council session. She stopped short of pointing fingers the right way. She consistently blames Assad for Western-backed death squad crimes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cA humanitarian, political and social disaster is already upon us,\u201d she said, \u201cand what looms is truly a nightmare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cCivilians bear the brunt of this crisis in which human rights violations have reached horrific dimensions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cConfronted with the flagrant disregard of international law and human life on every side, I feel utter dismay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cI am extremely concerned at current reports suggesting that hundreds of civilians have been killed or injured, and thousands may remain trapped, by indiscriminate shelling and aerial attacks by Government forces in Al Qusayr.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She admitted that anti-government forces also commit human rights violations. She consistently blames Assad most of all. She avoids explaining Washington\u2019s war on Syria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She\u2019s a reliable imperial tool. She\u2019s been so in previous capacities. She suppresses truth. Responsible major powers are absolved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Victims are blamed for their crimes. She did it before. She\u2019s doing it now. She aids and abets lawless aggression. She facilitates human rights abuses in the process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On May 27, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/EN\/NewsEvents\/Pages\/DisplayNews.aspx?NewsID=13362&amp;LangID=E\"  target=\"_blank\">Human Rights Council <\/a>(HRC) convened its 23rd session. President Remigiusz Henczel addressed a days earlier request to debate deteriorating conditions in Syria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Qatar claimed Syrian forces were massacring their people. A May 16 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/86e3f28e-be3a-11e2-bb35-00144feab7de.html#axzz2UZuYBRMo\"  target=\"_blank\">Financial Times<\/a> report headlined \u201cQatar bankrolls Syrian revolt with cash and arms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201c(I)t \u201cspent as much as $3bn over the past two years supporting the rebellion in Syria, far exceeding any other government, but is now being nudged aside by Saudi Arabia as the prime source of arms to rebels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Washington orchestrates everything. Turkey\u2019s its main attack dog. CIA elements operate in its territory near Syria. They facilitate cross-border weapons shipments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Syria\u2019s representative addressed the HRC session. He objected to debate on his country. Turkey and Qatar requested it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He said they\u2019re directly responsible for what\u2019s going on. They\u2019re encouraging terrorist attacks on Syrian soil. They\u2019re arming and training insurgent elements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">UK Foreign Secretary William Hague called ending the so-called arms embargo the right decision. He led efforts to do so. He suggested Britain would go it alone otherwise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He claimed ending the embargo \u201cis part of supporting the diplomatic work to bring about the political solution.\u201d It\u2019s \u201cnecessary and right,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Doing so will \u201cprotect civilians,\u201d he added. Tory MP John Baron disagreed, saying:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cIt beggars belief, the idea that pouring more arms into this conflict could not or would not escalate the violence. Of course, its not going to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cBut it could do something more dangerous. That is it could escalate the conflict beyond Syria\u2019s borders. That is why it could be a mistake of historic proportions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Oxfam\u2019s Anna Macdonald said supplying more weapons \u201cadd(s) fuel to the fire. We are concerned that supplying arms to the opposition won\u2019t level the playing field. In fact, it will fuel a deadly arms race that will have even worse consequences for civilians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThe millions of people suffering in Syria right now don\u2019t need more arms. They need aid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Shadow foreign secretary Douglas Alexander asked \u201chow does supplying weapons help to secure a lasting peace?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Supplying them in greater numbers assures more death and destruction. Doing so complies with Washington\u2019s longstanding agenda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The road to Tehran runs through Damascus. Replacing independent governments with pro-Western ones is prioritized.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Twenty-one EU nations are NATO members. It\u2019s an alliance for war, not peace. It\u2019s for offense, not defense. It\u2019s a killing machine. America runs it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Britain, France, Germany and other EU nations partner in its imperial wars. Doing so ravages one country after another.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Last October, Nobel Committee members awarded EU nations their Peace Prize. They claimed doing so reflected their decades long contribution \u201cto the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">They ignored their role in Eurasian conflicts and beyond. They turned a blind eye to NATO\u2019s global ambitions. It\u2019s part of Washington\u2019s full spectrum dominance agenda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It\u2019s potentially catastrophic if not stopped. It assures greater wars on humanity. Global war is possible. Washington controls NATO policy. Its so-called Partnership for Peace is a thinly veiled pro-war agenda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">War is peace reflects longstanding US policy. Syria\u2019s conflict potentially could spin out of control. The entire region and beyond could become embroiled.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">During last year\u2019s pre-election campaign, Republicans stressed \u201cAmerican exceptionalism.\u201d Democrats countered saying:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe also understand the indispensable role that the United States must continue to play in promoting international peace and prosperity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In 1996, Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal coined the term \u201cindispensable nation.\u201d Clinton used it as justification for NATO\u2019s Bosnia intervention.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In several speeches, Obama stressed American exceptionalism and the term indispensable nation. Most others disagree. They do so for good reason.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">America prioritizes war, not peace. Permanent war is longstanding policy. One country after another is ravaged. Millions perish. Millions more remain vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Where this ends who knows.
