As luck would have it, leaders from the Israeli government have just helpfully come out and debunked that talking point with a few shockingly frank public admissions.<\/p>\n

Explaining the decision to allow a minuscule amount of aid<\/a> into Gaza after months of deliberate starvation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Israel is now allowing \u201cminimal humanitarian aid\u201d on the insistence of western officials so that they will support Israel\u2019s murderous operation<\/a> to conquer the enclave.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to take control of all the Gaza Strip,\u201d Netanyahu vowed Monday in a video released by his office announcing that Israel would begin delivering \u201cminimal humanitarian aid: food and medicine only.\u201d Netanyahu claimed that international pressure, including from pro-Israel Republican senators and the White House, required the appearance of humanitarian intervention. \u201cOur best friends in the world\u200a\u2014\u200asenators I know as strong supporters of Israel\u200a\u2014\u200ahave warned that they cannot support us if images of mass starvation emerge,\u201d he said. \u201cThey come to me and say, \u2018We\u2019ll give you all the help you need to win the war\u2026 but we can\u2019t be receiving pictures of famine,\u2019\u201d Netanyahu added. To continue the war of annihilation, he asserted, \u201cWe need to do it in a way that they won\u2019t stop us.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
