The Good Guys are building concentration camps in Rafah
\nand massacring civilians trying to obtain food.<\/p>\n
The Good Guys are circling the planet with hundreds of military bases
\nand telling us we\u2019re not allowed to oppose genocide.<\/p>\n
Yesterday I saw a little girl playing
\nand I thought how nice it is that she has all her limbs
\nand that she is not lying still
\ncovered in gray dust
\nwhile her father screams and cries
\nand calls out to God
\nwhile trying to kiss her back to life.<\/p>\n
The world is changed now.
\nThe moon is covered with powdered buildings.
\nThe pigeons are weeping
\nand the wind sounds like drones.
\nSometimes I cough and gray dust comes out.
\nSometimes it\u2019s a child\u2019s shoe.
\nThere\u2019s a dead donkey lying in my backyard
\nthat nobody wants to talk about.<\/p>\n
The Australians chat about real estate investments
\nand how you can knock down one house
\nand replace it with two houses
\nand then make believe that neither house
\nsmells like corpses.<\/p>\n
The news man tells us the corporations
\nare just dumping the products directly into the Pacific now
\nwhile clinging tightly to the edge of the screen
\nso the black hole doesn\u2019t pull him in.<\/p>\n
Everything\u2019s fine, the news man yells,
\nand the system is working perfectly.
\nWe are the Good Guys after all.
\nWe are, after all, the Good Guys.<\/p>\n
