with 93% of respondents holding an unfavorable opinion of Israel. This includes a decisive 84% who said they view Israel \u201cvery unfavorably.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>International views of Israel are also quite negative throughout most of Europe and Asia, particularly in\u00a0<strong>Indonesia<\/strong>\u00a0(80% total unfavorable) and\u00a0<strong>Japan<\/strong>\u00a0(79% total unfavorable).<\/p>\n<p>Reasons for these results likely include\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.visualcapitalist.com\/recognition-of-palestine-map\/\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">support for Palestine<\/a>, anti-war attitudes, and religious solidarity. Indonesia, for example, has the world\u2019s largest\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Islam_by_country\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Muslim population<\/a>\u00a0in the world.<\/p>\n<h4>Countries That View Israel Positively<\/h4>\n<p>Only three countries from this survey had a majority of respondents expressing favorable opinions:\u00a0<strong>Nigeria<\/strong>\u00a0(59%),\u00a0<strong>Kenya<\/strong>\u00a0(50%), and\u00a0<strong>India<\/strong>\u00a0(34% favorable vs. 29% unfavorable). These nations stand out as outliers, possibly due to different geopolitical alignments or media narratives.
