It is the fifth time that China hosts the annual SCO summit and the largest in SCO\u2019s history. The Summit themes were respect of civilization diversity and pursuit of common development.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p><em><strong>Members heads of State Declaration August 31<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Development of the association<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SCO member countries have decided to establish an SCO Development Bank.<\/p>\n<p>They also decided to merge the statuses of \u201cobserver\u201d and \u201cdialogue partner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The countries will strengthen cooperation on sustainable development issues, \u201cincluding in the field of industry, efficient waste management and resource use in accordance with the principles of environmental protection, energy conservation and clean energy development, with a view to ensuring the SCO\u2019s contribution to promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
