1 Oct 2025 – <\/em>US President Donald Trump\u2019s Gaza \u201cpeace proposal<\/a>\u201d revives the playbook of the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation – a US-Israeli \u201caid distribution\u201d scheme that was less lifeline than death trap, weaponising hunger against Palestinians.<\/p>\n

The 20-point plan, reportedly drafted with Israel and US officials alongside Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff (both with vested real-estate interests in occupied lands), and Tony Blair, reeks of the same cynical design.<\/p>\n

Blair\u2019s record alone should disqualify him: as Washington\u2019s chief war-marketeer he sold the Iraq invasion with the lie of \u201c45-minute nukes,\u201d enabling mass civilian slaughter and the destruction of Iraqi society. Trump\u2019s proposal assigns him a 21st-century viceroy role, an insult to Gaza\u2019s besieged people.<\/p>\n

However it is read, the proposal is a \u201cpolitical death trap\u201d for the Palestinian society in Gaza, already subjected to the two years of Israel\u2019s declared policy of \u201cwar of extermination\u201d.<\/p>\n

It makes a mockery of international humanitarian law, shows an utter disregard for the resounding recognition of the Israel-occupied Palestine as a sovereign state.<\/p>\n

Twice, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to allow food, medicine, and water into Gaza, declaring its population \u201cprotected\u201d under the Genocide Convention. The proposal flatly defies those binding orders.<\/p>\n

The proposal\u2019s central demand collapses under Israel\u2019s own testimony. In the 1 August 2025 letter to Trump, Commanders for Israel\u2019s<\/p>\n

Security – 600 ex-generals, Mossad and Shin Bet chiefs, and senior diplomats – confirmed that Hamas\u2019s military and governing apparatus had already been destroyed.<\/p>\n

It is not Palestinian resistance that must be dismantled but Israel\u2019s illegal occupation – nearly sixty years of colonial rule enforced by an apartheid, ethno-supremacist state. We affirm the occupied people\u2019s right to resist, not the occupier\u2019s fabricated \u201cright to self-defence.\u201d As Israel\u2019s former Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon confessed, Israel\u2019s \u201cwar\u201d in Gaza under the veneer of fighting the Hamas amounts to \u201cMein Kampf in reverse.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 157 UN member states, out of a total of 193, have recognised Palestine as a sovereign state. That recognition carries not just symbolism but binding moral and legal obligations. They must act, and act now, to halt the US-Israeli war of annihilation against a people under occupation.<\/p>\n
