On October 20, we held our first event: Freedom for the Press<\/em>, with compelling panellists Andrew Wilkie MP, Melissa Fyfe and Greg Barns SC.<\/p>\n

One message prevailed: press freedom is under threat. Between weak freedom of information laws, limited whistleblower protections, powerful defamation suits and monopolisation of the media, the space for public debate is narrowing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
