This includes \u2018Predator\u2019, a highly invasive resource linked to grave human rights abuses in multiple countries. Intellexa\u2019s menacing technology allows government customers to access target smartphones\u2019 cameras, microphones, encrypted chat apps, emails, GPS locations, photos, files, browsing activity, and more. It\u2019s just the latest example of an Israeli-linked spyware specialist acting with no consideration for the law &#8211; although one wouldn\u2019t know that from Amnesty\u2019s probe.<\/p>\n<p>Intellexa is among the world\u2019s most notorious <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/em360tech.com\/tech-articles\/understanding-mercenary-spyware-what-it-and-how-protect-yourself\"  rel=\"\">\u201cmercenary spyware\u201d<\/a><\/strong> purveyors. In 2023, the company <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/therecord.media\/spyware-company-intellexa-fined-e50000-for-holding-up-greek-inquiry\"  rel=\"\">was fined<\/a><\/strong> by Greece\u2019s Data Protection Authority for failing to comply with its investigations into the company. An ongoing <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/ced56p5l2wwo\"  rel=\"\">court case<\/a><\/strong> in Athens implicates Intellexa apparatchiks and local intelligence services in hacking the phones of government ministers, senior military officers, judges and journalists.
