Poetry is also my mode of speaking when normal language is stymied by unspeakable happenings. For me, poetry&#8211;whether read or written&#8211;is a valuable resource. I self-published a book of poems a few years ago with the title <\/em>Waiting for Rainbows-I Find Myself still Waiting-Read with Gentle Eyes.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">As if a crown prince<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">impatient<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">for a crown to<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">fall from heaven<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">a dark miracle<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">landing on his head<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Not accidentally<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Nor dynastically<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The American way<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">stealth and wealth<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">overt crime<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">as needed<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Upending history<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">is part of the story<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">after all<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">if the Confederacy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">is reborn<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Why not the American Revolution<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">an outworn pride<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">to restore the worst<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">to renounce the best<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Keeping the pomp<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">hiding the circumstance<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">indulging in state dinners<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">while being indulged<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">By the ghost royalty<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">of a dying kingdom<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">and dying king<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">the pageantry<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">alone survives<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is America<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">where kings ascend the throne<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">by stealth and wealth<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No need for coronations<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">or dynastic entitlements<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">in MAGA Amerika<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Enough to glow<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">in pale light<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">cast by reigning<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">oligarchs<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Reinventing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">the glitter with guns<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">swag and swagger<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">of salutes and sheiks<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Farewell to nightmares<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">of freedom and equality<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">diversity inclusion<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">remembering forgetting<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">At this time<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">once proud citizens<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">bend their knees<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
