According to a r<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/10\/10\/world\/americas\/maduro-venezuela-us-oil.html\" >eport from <em>The New York Times<\/em><\/a>, he also offered US companies access to Venezuela\u2019s oil and other natural resources as a way to avoid war, but the deal was rejected by the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s offered everything; you\u2019re right. Because he doesn\u2019t want to fuck around with the United States,\u201d President Trump<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2025\/oct\/17\/trump-maduro-venezuela\" > said back in October<\/a>. In an <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SeanHannity\/videos\/trump-maduro-wanted-to-negotiate-at-the-end-but-i-said-no-too-late\/1775724047149710\/\" >interview on Fox News<\/a>, the morning Maduro was abducted by US forces, Trump said, \u201cMaduro wanted to negotiate at the end, but I said no, too late.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, Trump is demanding that Rodriguez comply with his demand for the US to \u201crun\u201d Venezuela and ensure US oil companies get oil assets inside the country.
