No Conflict Can Be Understood by Listening only to One Party<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

7 Apr 2026 <\/em>–\u00a0It\u2019s midday Tuesday. Between now and tonight, something may happen that makes Trump back down – more or less. He may also go further up the escalation ladder to the hell he threatens. Predicting what psychopaths will do is, by definition, impossible.<\/p>\n

Be this as it may, it is now time for us all to consult the Iranian media more often.<\/em> The simple reason is that no conflict can be understood reasonably well by only listening to one side. It\u2019s a simple matter of fairness.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, in times of war, all media are unreliable to some extent. You can not trust the Western mainstream media, and you may also not be able to trust Iranian media, at least not without critical self-reflection. What I am saying is that you will be better informed if you browse a series of different media than if you stick to your local prime time public service, your local newspaper, etc.<\/p>\n

That applies to all corners of the world, everyone has their own perspectives on what happens in the world, some more free to choose that perspective than others.<\/p>\n

What the truth really<\/em> is – well, we shall hardly know before way into the future. All media are biased and, apart from a number of video channels, bloggers, Substackers, etc, there are virtually no free media left anywhere.<\/p>\n

Many people have been told that they should not believe what the Iranian media produces. You\u2019ve seen everywhere that they are state media, meaning unreliable. I urge you to ignore that and simply visit some Iranian media sites, get a more just and diverse perception of what is going on and do everything with a critical mind. But not<\/em> consulting Iran\u2019s media is counterproductive and will keep you in the dark about many stories, the people\u2019s suffering, the civilians and cultural destruction taking place 24\/7 and many perspectives, interpretations and expert opinions you will never see in Western media.<\/p>\n

When you look at the media below and those which are collections of media, I assume you will be surprised of how many there are and how diverse they seem to be.<\/p>\n
